Also: I remember this stanza (it’s the book’s chorus, as it were) verbatim from my childhood, but until searching for it just now to get the author’s name, I had no recollection that the characters are mice.
Also also: My dad has a friend who I, as a small child who loved NOISY NORA, continually asked “Why are you so dumb?” He was amazingly good-natured about the whole thing.
