I told my friends. Posted a link to an article about the policy on my blog. Then I made the decision to migrate my group’s wish list from Amazon to Barnes & Noble and shared with readers at my other blog about the move. In other words, first I publicly condemned the policy and then I took action with my pocketbook. I won’t be buying from Amazon as long as the policy is in place.
Thanks, Susan! Just to clarify, the LGBT books generally have their rankings back now (maybe they all do by now… not sure). But, Amazon has not been forthcoming at all about how this happened (they offerred a lame “explanation” that few people seem to believe) or what they will do to keep this from happening again, and keeping their “report this as adult” function from being abused.
Frankly, I’m not sure why you shouldn’t be able to find “adult” books in their searches and bestseller lists anyway.
